Governance

SakeSwap is ultimately governed by community voting on proposals held on the SakeSwap Snapshot. DAO governance with a multi-signature mechanism will be introduced which means no single entity can control the platform.

All SakeSwap community members are welcome to post proposals on SakeSwap Snapshot. Please make sure the proposals can be easily read through by the prospective voters.

The voting metric is called UserVotePow. And it is calculated as follows:

UserVoterPow = LpSakeNum*LpWeight + UserBalanceNum*BalanceWeight+XsakeNumber*XsakeWeight

LpSakeNum is the number of SAKE which is equal in value to the SAKE related pools’ LP token.

UserBalanceNum is the SAKE balance of the connected wallet.

XsakeNumber is the xSAKE balance of the connected wallet.

LpWeight is the voting weight in the LP pool, the default is 2.

BalanceWeight is the voting weight in the SAKE balance, the default is 1.

XsakeWeight is the voting weight in the xSAKE balance, the default is 1.

For a vote to pass and become binding, it must gain a quorum of at least 15 million UserVoterPow and the pass rate is over 50%.
